(Sorry Dawn, selfishly, i hope it stays that way!) Even if it's mobbed, i would just order take-out (try one of the pizzas) and buy a whole pie. Conway and that's a good thing after a long day skiing. I think because of the location, the restaurant does not get mobbed as do other popular places in Jackson/Glen/N. At $18 for a whole pie, it is a deal even though I would have like to pair with Gifford's ice cream (from Maine don't miss the Black Raspberry Swirl if available!) offered at the restaurant. The crust is flaky and thin and the fruit inside is just perfectly sweet and not-runny/gooey. It is one of the best country pie I have had for a while. (Apple, and Mixed Berries were also offered). Portions were large, resulting in lack of room for dessert! But having seen the pie upon entry, we had to buy a whole peach and raspberry pie to take back to the hotel. The chowder was chock full of tender clams and flavorful, even if a bit too much taste of flour/rue and not enough cream. A rustic restaurant with pies well on display as you enter.
